The photographer behind Kapturr.
I’m drawn to people, places, energy and the moments that happen in between. The things that may seem ordinary in the moment often become the photographs we come back to years later.
My approach is natural, intentional and centered around creating images that feel like you. Whether it’s a portrait, a milestone, a growing brand or an important day, I want you to be able to look at your photographs and remember not just how it looked, but how it felt.
Photography became especially meaningful to me through my own journey with stage lV cancer. It reminded me how quickly life can change and how important it is to hold onto the people, places and moments that matter. It also taught me to say yes more often, try new things, take the trip and collect experiences I might not have had otherwise.
That perspective is part of what I bring to every session. I’m not interested in creating photographs that feel overly posed or disconnected from who you are. I want to capture what makes your story yours.
Six things that make me, me
01 - I’m a California girl living in a cold place. California will always be a little piece of home. I’m basically a reptile, so warmth, sunshine and palm trees will always win me over. And I'll always stop for a good sunrise or sunset.
02 - My brain takes detours.
One thought can trigger another, then another, and suddenly I’m telling you a completely unrelated story. My brain makes connections at its own speed. Just come along for the ride.
03 - Tacos are always a good idea.
This one is pretty self-explanatory.
04 - There's a song for that.
A word, a phrase, a feeling and suddenly there's a song playing in my head. My music taste depends on the mood, the moment and the vibe. One minute it's reggaeton, the next Morgan Wallen, then Dr Dre. My taste is eclectic and Spotify DJ gets it.
05 - I'm a mom of three.
Motherhood is a big part of who I am. It's taught me to roll with it, pivot when things change and find a little more of myself along the way.
06 - I notice the little things.
I'm an introvert who prefers one on one conversations and loves discovering what makes people who they are. I'm a little obsessed with the details too, which might explain why I love photography so much.
